Release Archive Naming Cheat Sheet (Version 1.0)
Compact version of the Release Archive Naming guide.
General Rule
- End-user archives:
<Project>_<version>_<os>_<os-arch> - Developer archives:
<project>_dev_<version>_<target> - Developer archive names are always entirely lowercase.
- Developer archives include end-user files, debug symbols, and possibly source code fragments or pre-built libraries.
<target>:<target-arch>-<target-os>[-<target-abi>][-static]<target-abi>is optional and may encode soft-float or hard-float.- The
-staticsuffix means no external library dependencies.

- gnueabihf (GNU libc with hard-float EABI)
- musleabi (musl with soft-float EABI)

macOS
macOS has no ABI variants, so the target does not use one.

- msvc (Microsoft Visual C++ toolchain ABI)
